Your first creative workflow
Take one existing design through Mica: add it to your project, make a new size, and send the result for review. Start with a single, finished design so you can follow each step.
What you’ll accomplishA source in your Library, a new Studio variation, and a clear path to approval.
Before you start
- A Mica account and a selected organization and project.
- One Figma design you can access, or a supported file to upload.
- Studio and Approvals access for the later steps. Home shows the products available to your organization.
1. Connect your workspace
Sign in and open Home. Create a key in API Keys, paste it into the Mica plugin’s Settings, then select your organization and project in the plugin workspace bar.
For Figma imports, also use Connect Figma in Settings. Follow the plugin setup guide if this is your first connection.
2. Add your source design
Select one complete Figma frame
Choose an ad or layout with its text, images, and background. Open Teach Mica and paste the file link from Share → Copy link if requested.Review and import
Choose Selection, review how the design will be grouped, then confirm the import. Wait for the item to be added to Library; follow progress in Activity.Find the imported design
Open Library in the dashboard under the same project. Check the source details. For a file-based start, use Train / Upload instead; see Upload & train your Library.
3. Create your first variation
Open Studio and choose New workflow. Open Assets and click your creative to add it as a base. Select that base, choose Relayout, and choose a target size. Add directions, create the variant, then use Run selected.
Adapt this ad to 1080 × 1920. Keep the product name, price, logo, and legal line exactly as written. Keep the product prominent and leave the call to action easy to read.
When it completes, open the variation’s Result tab. Inspect the preview, dimensions, text, and any warnings before choosing a download or continuing.
4. Send the result for review
In Approvals → Workflows, create and publish a workflow with your reviewers. Choose Start approval, select eligible Studio outputs, choose that published workflow, and confirm the people and delivery settings.
Review the final summary before starting. Follow the request in Approvals → Requests. Reviewers can approve or ask for changes according to the workflow.
