Send work for approval
An approval request pairs specific creative outputs with a published review workflow. Confirm the exact versions, people, and delivery destinations before starting.
What you’ll accomplishA review request for selected outputs, with invitations sent using the chosen delivery settings.
Before you start
- Permission to start approvals in the selected project.
- Completed, eligible Studio outputs in that project.
- A published approval workflow with reviewers configured.
Start an approval request
Choose Start approval
Open Approvals in the correct project and choose Start approval. If the action is unavailable, check product access and your project permissions.Select the work
Expand the relevant Studio workflow or run and choose the outputs. Inspect the thumbnails and versions; use a preview when needed. Only eligible outputs can be selected.Choose a published workflow
Select the intended review process. If the list is empty, open Workflows, finish its setup, and publish it before returning.Confirm people and delivery
Check each stage’s reviewers, the review administrator, and the person responsible for changes. Confirm email, Slack, or both, including any request-specific overrides.Review the summary and start
Check the selected item count, process, and validated recipients. Choose the final Start approval action to begin the request and its notifications.
Track the request
Overview summarizes attention items, recent requests, and deadlines. Requests is the searchable history with status filters. Inbox shows work requiring the signed-in reviewer’s attention.
Open a request to inspect stage progress, decisions, feedback, and the submitted creative. These views follow the selected project; switching projects changes the requests you see.
Keep revisions explicit
A review is bound to the submitted versions. Generating another variant or changing the primary output does not silently change what reviewers see. When changes are requested, prepare the revision and use the request’s replacement or resubmission controls, then check the version shown in the review.
