Teach Mica your designs
Teach Mica adds your Figma designs to the project Library so they can become source material for future creative work. You review the grouping before the import begins.

Before you start
- The Mica plugin connected to an organization and project.
- Figma access configured in Settings and the current file link available.
- Source frames with the complete design and the fonts you want to preserve.
Import a design
Choose a manageable selection
Select a complete frame or a few related designs on the canvas. Open Teach Mica and confirm the file link. Start with Selection; use Current page for a larger import. Entire file is under More options.Review the grouping
Continue to the review screen. Check which items will be saved together and adjust the grouping where needed. Keep one complete creative together instead of separating its text from its artwork.Confirm the import
Use the import action showing the item count. Mica organizes new imports automatically. Keep the plugin open while it prepares your content; once queued, follow the work in Activity.Check the finished items
Wait for the added-to-Library result, then open Library → Assets in the same project. Inspect the names, previews, and editable content before using a source in Studio.
When a design cannot stay editable
The plugin may show Some designs couldn’t stay editable. Review the affected designs and use Try editable import again after resolving the issue.
Import as images is an explicit alternative when offered. Those items are marked as needing review, and an image import does not provide the original editable text and layers.
Resume an interrupted import
Open Activity and reopen the saved import. Resume it in its original project and with the same Figma connection method. Read the status before creating a new import: queued work may already be processing.
Completed items remain in Library after a partial failure or cancellation. Use the available retry or continue action for unfinished work, then check the final item counts.
