Review & request changes

Review the exact submitted creative, work through the checklist, and leave a clear decision. Use specific feedback so the person making changes can act on it.

What you’ll accomplishA recorded approval or actionable change request for the current creative and review stage.

Before you start

  • An item in your Approvals Inbox, an accessible plugin review, or a valid shared review link.
  • The brand, copy, legal, and delivery requirements you are responsible for checking.

Open and inspect the work

  1. Open your review

In Mica, use Approvals → Inbox. You can also open the link sent by email or Slack, or find the request in the Figma plugin’s Review tab.
  2. Check the request and item

Read the request title, stage, and selected creative. Review each required output rather than assuming a batch has identical copy or layout.
  3. Inspect the whole creative

For a static design, check the full image and its text. For an animation, play the submitted version and use the available playback controls. A poster alone is not enough to assess timing or transitions.
  4. Complete the checklist

Mark each required check only after reviewing it. Approval remains unavailable until the required checklist and current-stage conditions are met.

Choose a decision

DecisionWhen to use it
Approve / Approve assetThe submitted version meets the checks you own.
Request changesThe creative needs revision. Enter feedback describing the required change.
Reject / Reject assetThe creative is not acceptable for this review. Provide a reason. This action appears only when allowed.

Wait for confirmation that the decision was recorded. A stage may require more reviewers before the work moves forward. A completed request can remain readable after its decision actions are closed.

Write feedback someone can use

Identify the element, the issue, and the intended correction. For example: “On the portrait version, the legal line is clipped at the bottom. Keep the full sentence and move it inside the canvas.”

For animation, describe the relevant scene or copy in the feedback. Where drawing tools are offered, use Annotate poster to mark a region on the still image; poster annotations do not describe motion by themselves.

Review without a Mica account

Open the shared review link and enter your name and email before submitting a decision. Shared-link identities are self-reported; each distinct email counts once per creative and stage. Older personal invitations can already be assigned to a particular email.

If the link is expired, revoked, or unavailable, ask the request owner for a current link. If a decision is disabled, check the checklist, required feedback, and whether the request has already moved to another stage.

Keep going
