Insert & review in Figma
Bring existing project assets into your Figma file, compare workflow results, and participate in the review process without losing the connection to the submitted work.
What you’ll accomplishSelected assets are inserted into Figma, and you can find the correct review or output revision.
Before you start
- The connected plugin with the intended organization and project selected.
- Library assets or completed workflow outputs in that project.
- An assigned or otherwise accessible approval request for Review.
Find and insert assets
Open Library
Choose Assets for source material or Workflows for workflow outputs. Search and filter within the selected project.Select the right variants
Click cards to select them; use Details to inspect an item separately. Check the variant or version before inserting. Selections can span pages and filters.Insert the selection
Use the bottom Insert action. Mica places items together automatically at their original sizes. Open the optional placement controls if you need a different arrangement.Check the canvas
Inspect the new group and any font or insertion warnings. Editable insertion depends on the artifacts available for that item. If a batch partly fails, retry the failed items rather than inserting the successful ones again.
Review submitted work
Open Review, choose the approval request, and inspect its submitted items. Follow the current stage’s checklist and the decision actions shown for your permissions.
Leave specific feedback when requesting changes. Some actions hand off to the website; follow that link to the same review. See Review & request changes for checklists, animation playback, and decision requirements.
Return a Figma revision
When an output’s details offer publishing a selected frame, select the edited frame on your canvas and use that output’s revision action. Confirm which output and version you are updating, then inspect the saved result.
